Education is the key to success, which implies that every nation needs educated people. Moreover, a nation needs well-educated people to meet up with other nations. Liberia is known as the oldest independent nation in Africa. The University of Liberia, formerly Liberia College in 1863, is the oldest learning institution in Africa. People came from all parts of Africa to be schooled during those days in Liberia. But after the 14-year civil war that led to many displaced in neighboring countries, the education system has suffered a loss.

BACK TO SCHOOL

About 20% of Liberians kids are out of school due to poverty. Liberia is one of the poorest Countries in West Africa. The country has suffered 14-year civil war which has affected every sector, including the education sector. Through our Back To School program, we provide scholarships for kids in primary school.

I AM A CHILD

I AM A CHILD CLUB is a way of connecting kids in Liberia with peers for a share values. It gives each child the opportunity to interact with peers, share thoughts and discuss issues relative to their individual needs. It also makes them to learn leadership, communication, and collaboration.

Sex for grades is one of the factors that destroyed the value and quality of the Liberia education system. It has affected the system tremendously. Nowadays many of our female students have no interest in studying anymore. It led to poor academic performance, and loss of trust in the education system and has undermined the entire system for quality education completely.
